L’actrice Mercy Johnson vit une vie de rêve en famille. Elle est mariée depuis le 27 aout 2011 avec le prince Odianosen Okajie et le couple est béni de quatre merveilleux enfants.
Elle a épousé le prince Odi au milieu du scandale lorsqu’une femme, Lovely Okojie, s’est manifestée en insistant sur le fait qu’il était toujours marié avec elle. Le prince Odi a soutenu qu’ils n’étaient jamais légalement mariés, mais que ses parents l’avaient plutôt représenté lors d’une cérémonie traditionnelle afin que ses enfants puissent être reconnus comme légitimes
Elle a donné naissance à sa premiere fille, Purity Ozioma Okojie, dans un hôpital non divulgué aux États-Unis le 30 décembre 2012. Le nom Purity lui a été donné par son père. Il dit avoir choisi son nom en raison des merveilleuses qualités de sa femme.
Leur fils, Henry Ozioma Okojie, est né le 15 octobre 2014. Il est né à Baltimore, Maryland.
Elle a fondé la «Mercy Johnson Foundation» pour aider les enfants et les veuves pauvres. Elle-même fait régulièrement des dons au fonds.
Pour rappel, Mercy Johnson est actrice, réalisateur et producteur de film nigériane. Elle est née dans l’État de Lagos, elle est le quatrième enfant d’une famille de sept enfants. Elle fait ses études primaires a Calabar, dans l’État de Cross River. Mercy a été transféré dans l’État de Logas par son père, Officier de marina, ou elle a poursuivi ses études a l’école primaire de la marine nigériane. Pour ses études secondaires, elle est allée a l’école secondaire de l’État de Rivers.
Après ses études secondaires, Mercy a auditionné pour un rôle dans » The Maid » et ensuite joue dans d’autres films comme » Hustiers, Baby Oku in America », » War in the Palace ».
En 2009, elle gagne le prix de la meilleure actrice dans un second rôle lors de la cérémonie des African Movie Awards 2009 pour sa performance dans le film » Live to Remember » et le prix de la meilleure actrice aux Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2013 pour son rôle dans le film comique » Dumebi the Dirty Girl ».
En 2011, Mercy a été répertoriée comme célébrité nigériane la plus recherchée par Google, un poste qu’ elle a aussi occupé.
