Jackie Appiah fit sa première apparition télé dans la série Ghanéenne “Things we do for love”(i.e: ces choses que nous faisons par amour). Née le 05 Décembre 1983 à Toronto (dans l’Ontario) au Canada, elle rentre au ghana en 1993, avec ses parents, où elle sera élevée par ses grand-parents. Jackie Appiah débutera ensuite sa carrière d’actrice à l’âge de 12 ans, une carrière qui prendra une tournure davantage professionnelle avec la série “things we do for love”.Quant au cinema, Elle y joue son premier rôle dans “Divine Love”, aux côté de Majid Michel (célèbre acteur Ghanéen):”J’étais très timide, dans mes débuts. Mais les gens ne l’ont pas remarqué,” avait-elle dit concernant ce premier rôle au cinéma.Jackie Appiah a reçu plusieurs awards et nominations pour son talent. Quant à sa vie privée, elle épouse en 2005, Peter Agyemang. Ils divorceront après trois ans de mariage.Il ont eu un fils du nom de Damien. Quand on demandait à Jackie: “Est-que tes rôles dans les films, ne dérangent pas parfois ton mari?” L’actrice Nollywood répondait:”Mon Mari n’a absolument pas de problème avec les rôles que je joue dans les films. J’amène tous mes scripts à la maison, pour qu’on en discute, avant que j’aille en tournage.”Jackie Appiah avait aussi ajouté à propos de son fils, “je suis heureuse d’être maman. Le mettre au monde a été le moment le plus heureux de ma vie.”Pour conclure, Jackie Appiah a joué dans d’innombrables films. La liste serait interminable à dresser. La star Ghanéenne a été également l’égérie de plusieurs marques, pour plusieurs campagnes publicitaires, et continue encore de l’être.Avec un visage angélique au sourire éblouissant, Jackie Appiah est une vraie beauté africaine, qui ravi le coeur de ses fans à chaque apparition. Une beauté uniforme, avec ou sans maquillage.
