Mercy Eke est née dans l’État d’Imo, au Nigéria, le 29 septembre 1993. Bien que les détails de son diplôme n’aient pas encore été confirmés, elle est diplômée de l’Université d’État d’Imo en 2014 après avoir fréquenté l’école secondaire Egbu Girls à Owerri. On dit souvent que c’est en psychologie, bien que d’autres prétendent que c’est en administration des affaires.

Mercy a toujours voulu être une célébrité dans l’industrie du divertissement nigériane. Enfant, elle aimait jouer et danser. Elle était honnête et instruite même si elle avait été élevée dans une communauté rurale de l’État d’Imo. Le groupe de danse culturelle de l’école de Mercy l’avait toujours comme danseuse principale.

Dans sa quête pour percer dans l’industrie, Mercy Eke est apparue comme une renarde dans le clip de la chanson « Baby Mama » de Davido et Ichaba. Elle a également fait une apparition dans les vidéoclips des chansons « Ije Ego » de MC Galaxy, « Nawo Nawo » d’Airboy et « Take It » de Rudeboy.

Fait intéressant, Mercy Eke a essayé quatre fois pour le spectacle Big Brother Naija avant d’être acceptée.Alors que la star de télé-réalité essaie de garder certaines informations personnelles hors des réseaux sociaux, il n’y a aucune donnée officielle sur la famille et les parents de Mercy. Cependant, on sait que Mazi Akwudike Eke, décédé en 2022 à l’âge de 70 ans, était son père.
